Kanye West embraces his creepy side, with the official video for his track “Famous,” off of The Life of Pablo.
Twisted and Not Safe For Work, the vid features nude waxworks of basically any celebrity of the moment – from Taylor Swift, to Donald Trump, to Chris Brown, to Amber Rose, to Rihanna, to Caitlyn Jenner, to Anna Wintour, to George Bush, and more. But the visuals of the video itself have an aspect that makes it feel unmistakably eerie, somewhat like a serial killer’s dream. The grainy quality of the video itself and the slow camera movement over the lifeless bodies of the selected celebs is almost Charles Manson-esque. Of course, the video has turned a lot of heads, not only in LA, but also worldwide, where people have been protesting the orgy of nude celebrities that surround Yeezy in the video.
As his inspirations, the nouveau art-guru Kanye listed a painting by Vincent Desiderio, entitled Sleep, avant-garde filmmaker and artist Matthew Barney, and the subjected celebrities themselves.
Cheekily, Yeezus placed himself between Taylor Swift (new best friends?) and his wife Kim.
