Yesterday, Dover Street Market announced the official launch of their newest capsule collection in collaboration with Italian luxury giant, Gucci. The limited-edition capsule features basic, casual DSM essentials like a heathered gray sweatshirt, a plaid button-up, and a distressed gray denim jacket, heightened by design elements by Gucci. On Gucci’s end, they chose to incorporate floral emblems and classic tapestry emblems to spice up the exclusive apparel. Branded by the phrase Aveuglé par amour, meaning blinded by love in French, the collection features colourful florals and fable-style animals.
Since being appointed Creative Director of Gucci, Italian designer and business executive Alessandro Michele has set out to ensure that the legendary fashion house grows hand-in-hand with the hippest in the world of fashion. This is why he chose to solidify a collaboration with DSM, among the world’s finest and most exclusive high-end retailers, despite releasing only four pieces at a time.
